TRAKTOR versions 2.7.0 and higher are unable to play back Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio files on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Note: Both ALAC- and AAC-encoded files share the filename extensions ".m4a" or ".mp4". AAC-encoded files are not affected by this issue.
When trying to load an Apple Lossless audio file, TRAKTOR will show the following error message: WARNING: The track *file name* could NOT be played due to a missing or corrupt file, unsupported format or DRM-protection. Windows 10 offers native support of the Apple Lossless audio codec; thus ALAC files can be played back in TRAKTOR 2.9.0 or higher under this operating system version. If you do not wish to upgrade your operating system to Windows 10, you can downgrade TRAKTOR to version 2.6.8 in order to restore ALAC functionality.
