When starting ABSYNTH, FM8 or MASSIVE as a plug-in within your host application, the Browser might not display any presets. This is because these instruments will not build their database when started in plug-in mode. In order to resolve this, please run ABSYNTH, FM8 or MASSIVE as stand-alone application once in order to let them build their database and complete their installation process. This operation may take a few minutes to be completed. Once the presets are available in the Browser of the stand-alone application, you may use ABSYNTH, FM8 or MASSIVE as a plug-in within your host application. By default, the stand-alone applications of these NI products are located here on your computer:
- Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > *NI Product* > *NI Product*.app
- Win: C: > Programs > Native Instruments > *NI Product* > *NI Product*.exe
Note: If the factory presets still do not appear in your Browser in stand-alone mode, please read this article to learn how to rebuild your database manually.
