Since MASCHINE 2.2, the base key of the Keyboard mode is no longer automatically set to C-2 after applying the Slicing of a sample to the same Sound with the APPLY function. The base key is now set to C3. As a result, the Pad's Keyboard mode range will not include the applied Slices and you will not be able to play them directly. To access the correct key range, you must manually lower the base key of the Group from C3 to C-2.
Note: You will only have to lower the base key once per Group. Starting with MASCHINE 2.2, the base key of the Keyboard mode is set for the entire Group at once (and not per Sound as it was previously).
Please follow the instructions corresponding to your MASCHINE controller hardware model to set the base key to C-2:
- MASCHINE STUDIO, MK1 and MK2 controllers: Hold down the PAD MODE button and press Button 5 OCT- until you reach C-2 on the right display.
Note: On the first hardware units of the MASCHINE MK1 controller, the PAD MODE button is labelled KEYBOARD.
- MASCHINE MIKRO MK1 and MK2 controllers: Hold down the PAD MODE button and turn the Encoder counter-clockwise until you reach C-2 on the display.
