This article explains how to share MASCHINE projects across different computers. This is useful if you want to move your projects from one computer to another, or collaborate with another MASCHINE user.
When sharing a project, it's necessary to share the project file itself, as well as any audio files (from samples) contained within that project.
- Create a new folder on your desktop. This will be the folder that is shared to the other computer.
- Open the project in MASCHINE that you wish to share.
- Navigate to File > Save Project with Samples...
- Choose the dedicated folder that you created in step 1 as the location. To change the default project location, click on the file path in the 'Save Project with Samples' dialog box. Once you have chosen the location, click Save.
Note: the project must have been saved normally at least once in order to have the option to save the project with samples.
It's now possible to move the dedicated folder from your desktop to another computer. In order to open the project on that computer, you simply double-click the project file (.mxprj) contained within that folder.
