Installing with Native Access
To install the Battery 4 Factory Library on an external hard drive, open Native Access > Preferences and change the Content Location. You can find detailed instructions on how to change install locations in this article.
If you already installed the BATTERY 4 Factory Library on your system drive and you want to move it to a different drive, follow the instructions in this article.
If you have to reinstall the BATTERY 4 Library, follow the steps in this article. Before installing the Library again, make sure to set the Content Location to your prefereed hard drive as explained in this article.
Installing with the Legacy Installer
To install the Battery 4 Factory Library on an external hard drive follow the instructions below:
- Launch the BATTERY 4 installer and follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the window labelled "Custom Install on "Macintosh HD"
- Within the Location column, click the Shared folder tab to open a new drop-down menu.
- In the drop-down menu select Other… to define a different installation directory from the default selection.
- In the next window, navigate to the location where you wish to install the Battery 4 Factory Library. In this example we have created a new folder on an external hard drive called Sample Libraries. Confirm your selection with Choose.
Note: To create a new folder click New Folder located bottom-left of the browser window.
The Location column will now reflect the newly selected directory. Click Continue to proceed with the installation.
