When entering the serial number of your Native Instruments product in Service Center in order to activate it, you may encounter the following error message: The serial number is already registered to another User Account. (1002)
There can be two reasons for this:
- You purchased the product second-hand from another registered user. The previous user must contact our Registration Support team, requesting the deactivation of the serial number from the previous user's account. If you cannot reach the previous user, please contact our Registration Support team to obtain more information.
- You registered your product under a different account. In this case you need to switch your account login in Service Center to the corresponding user account, as explained in this article.
Note: You can view which serial numbers belong to your account in your online account under Products, Serials & Downloads.
