In this article, we explain how to configure your Behringer DDM-4000 Audio Mixer as MIDI-controller in TRAKTOR.
Before proceeding, please refer to the Behringer Manual section 7: The DDM-4000 as MIDI Controller.
MIDI Connection
The DDM-4000 has no USB connection. In order for TRAKTOR and the DDM-4000 to communicate, you will need to connect the DDM-4000 to your MIDI interface (i.e. MIDI Handshake) using standard MIDI cables.
Configuration in TRAKTOR Setup Wizard
Once you have established the MIDI connections, proceed with the following steps to configure TRAKTOR:
- Open TRAKTOR > Preferences and choose Setup Wizard.
- First, you will be asked to connect your external devices to the computer. If you haven't done so already, connect your audio and MIDI interfaces and click Next.
- Since you want to use your Behringer DDM4000, select Yes then click Next.
- In this window, choose Behringer as Manufacturer and DDM4000 as Model and click Next.
- Choose your Deck Layout, then click Next. In this example, we choose the layout for 2 Track Decks + Mixer.
- Once the setup is complete, the Setup Wizard will give you a short summary of the selections you made.
- If everything is correct, click Finish to quit the Setup Wizard.
TRAKTOR is now ready to operate with your Behringer DDM-4000. If you wish to manually add the DDM-4000 mapping, you can find its dedicated mapping (.tsi) file in this location of your computer:
