In some cases, you may wish to trigger certain types of samples in Battery using more than one MIDI key. Follow this guide to edit the key range of a cell in Battery.
Click below to expand the version of Battery that you are using and follow the steps provided.
Battery 4
- Select the Cell(s) whose Key Range you wish to change and make sure that the Main tab at the bottom of the Battery 4 window is selected (the tab is selected by default).
- Click on any of the two MIDI Note values under Key Range (next to the waveform display) and drag the mouse up or down depending on whether you want to raise or lower the key assignment. The note value on the left of the pane represents the lower end while the note value on the right resembles the upper end of the key range.
Note: To raise the Key Range, first change the note to the RIGHT of the pane.
- Alternatively, you can click the Learn button (MIDI port symbol) and use the keys on your MIDI Keyboard to change the Key Range of a cell. After clicking the Learn button, press a note on your keyboard to define the lower key range limit followed by another note higher on your keyboard to define the upper key range limit. After making the assignments the Learn button will be deactivated automatically.
