In Digital Performer, Native Instruments plug-ins are available in Audio Unit (AU) format. If you install your Native Instruments software via a custom install, make sure that the Audio Unit versions of the software are installed.
On a Mac your Audio Units plug-in files are always written into the same folder, so you do not need to point out to a location to install them. You can find them in the following folder:
- Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components >"*NI product name*.component"
Further Tips on Plug-in Administration
It is sometimes useful to check with the standalone version and make sure that the version numbers of the standalone and the plug-in match each other.
The version of the plug-in (or the standalone version) can be verified by loading the plug-in into a track, opening the plug-in interface and clicking on the Native Instruments NI logo to open the About Window. You can also find the version by clicking on the 'name.component' file itself in the Components folder and pressing Cmd + I on your keyboard for 'Get Info.' This will open a small Info window in OS X that displays the version number and other information about the file.
