If a plug-in is correctly installed on your computer and works correctly within MASCHINE 1 but cannot be found in your MASCHINE 2 Browser, you may be facing a compatibility issue: 64-bit audio applications (such as MASCHINE 2) are only compatible with 64-bit plug-ins, and 32-bit audio applications (such as MASCHINE 1) are only compatible with 32-bit plug-ins. MASCHINE 2 stand-alone starts in 64-bit mode by default. If your missing plug-in is only available in 32-bit, and MASCHINE is launched in 64-bit mode, it will not be displayed in the Browser. To solve the issue, search the plug-in manufacturer's website for a recent update offering 64-bit compatibility. If your plug-in is not 64-bit compatible, you can still start MASCHINE 2 in 32-bit mode to access it, as explained below:
- Navigate to MASCHINE 2 in your Application folder:
Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > Maschine 2.
- Right-click on the Maschine application and choose Get Info from the appearing drop-down menu.
- In the General section of the Maschine 2 Info window, check the option Open in 32-bit mode.
Next time you start MASCHINE 2, it will run in 32-bit mode and your 32-bit plug-ins will appear accordingly.
