When using Pioneer CDJs to control TRAKTOR in Advanced HID mode, you may want to route the audio from each TRAKTOR Deck to a separate channel of your external mixer. With the following workarounds, you can use the built-in audio interfaces of your CDJs for this.
Note: This article only explains how to setup your CDJs for audio playback in TRAKTOR. In order to learn more about using CDJs as Advanced HID controllers in TRAKTOR, please continue here.
Configuring TRAKTOR for Two Soundcards with Tools Provided by Pioneer
Mac OS X: CDJ_Aggregator
- Go the Pioneer downloads page here.
- Select your CDJ device name and then download the latest SOFTWARE UPDATE.
- Connect both CDJs to your computer.
- Go to your downloads folder and execute the file "CDJ_Aggregator".
- If the connection has been successful, you will see the name of each of your CDJs in the CDJ Aggregator panel.
- Open TRAKTOR and go to the Preferences > Audio Setup menu.
- Make sure that the Pioneer CDJ (CoreAudio) driver is selected in the Audio Device list.
Note: You will notice other drivers in the list called Pioneer CDJ-400 / 900 / 2000 (CoreAudio). Those are the individual drivers of each CDJ and should not be used.
- Now you are ready to configure the stereo outputs of both CDJs under TRAKTOR Preferences > Output Routing.
Windows: Pioneer ASIO Driver
- Go the Pioneer downloads page here.
- Click on the download link Drivers for Windows and confirm the download.
- Make sure that both CDJs are disconnected from the computer.
- Go to your downloads folder and execute the file "Pioneer_CDJ_Driver_*version number*.exe".

- Open TRAKTOR and go the Preferences > Audio Setup menu.
- Make sure that the Pioneer CDJ Asio (ASIO) device is selected in the Audio Device list.
- Now you are ready to configure the stereo outputs of both CDJs in the TRAKTOR Preferences > Output Routing menu.
