Note: This article explains how to uninstall the first major version of TRAKTOR PRO. If you are a TRAKTOR PRO 2 user, please read this article.
Data Backup
The Root Directory contains all of your Track Collection information and settings in TRAKTOR PRO. If you wish to save this information you must make a backup copy of this folder. It can be found in the following location, unless you changed it to a custom location manually:
Macintosh HD > Users > *user name* > Documents > Native Instruments > Traktor
If you selected a custom location for the Root Directory, copy it from there.
Deleting Files and Folders
In order to uninstall TRAKTOR PRO, remove the following files and folders:
- Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > Traktor
- Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.Traktor Pro.plist
- Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Traktor
- Macintosh HD > Users > *user name* > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.Traktor Pro.plist
- Macintosh HD > Users > *user name* > Documents > Native Instruments > Traktor
Note: On newer Mac OS computers running OS 10.7 (Lion), the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, press down the Alt key and click on the Finder menu bar entry Go. The Library entry will become visible in the drop-down menu and can now be selected.
