This article explains how to route Maschine Sounds to separate tracks in Presonus Studio One. This is useful if you wish to use different insert / send effects or apply Studio One's volume and panorama controls to each sound individually.
Configuring Studio One
-
Load the Maschine VST plug-in on an instrument track in Studio One.
- Open the console by clicking on the Mix tab (bottom right of the screen) or the F3 button on your keyboard.
- Click on the Maschine 2 entry in the Instruments panel. The Output Channel activation menu will appear.
- Enable the Maschine channel outputs. Doing so will automatically create corresponding channels in the console.
Configuring Maschine
- Once you have loaded a kit in Maschine, click on the channel icon, then on SOUND, and then choose Output.
- Under the Audio tab, choose separate destinations for each sound of the loaded kit. In our example, Kick EarlyBird 1 is set to Ext. 1. The following sound (Snare EarlyBird 1) is set to Ext. 2, and so on in ascending order.
Your Maschine kit is now routed to individual channels in Studio One's console and can be controlled or have effects applied to them individually.
