After installing the MASCHINE 2.7.4. update, some users might notice incorrect functionality with their footswitch connected to MASCHINE STUDIO. For example, you may try to use the Looper to record audio, and the recording you make is immediately undone even though you’re not holding the footswitch down.
MASCHINE STUDIO only supports "normally-open" type Footswitches. "Normally-closed" type Footswitches will not work correctly when connected to MASCHINE STUDIO.
As the footswitch functionalities were limited in previous MASCHINE software versions, you may not have noticed any issues before.
Some footswitches have a "polarity" switch. If your footswitch is equipped with such a switch, you can set it to "normally-open". If not, please get in touch with your footswitch's manufacturer to know if there is an option to set it to "normally-open".
Unfortunately, Native Instruments has no workaround to offer to users having a "normally-closed" only type footswitch.
