Important note: With the Windows updates from March 12th, the issue has been resolved for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7. See details below.
After installing a Windows Update, the following devices are no longer recognized:
- TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 MK2
- MASCHINE STUDIO
- KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series MK1 (all models)
The Windows Updates from February 2019 block certain NI hardware devices from being recognized.
On Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7, the issue can now be fixed by installing the latest Windows Updates.

On Windows 10, you can now restore the functionality of your NI controller by installing all available Windows Updates. In order to do so, please follow these steps:
- Press the Windows key + 'I' in order to open the Windows Settings and choose the Update & security option:
- Open the Windows Update tab and click Check for updates:
- Install all available Windows Updates.
Your NI controller should now be fully functional again.
