Note: With the new Windows 7 updates, the issue has been resolved for this operating system. See details below.
After installing a Windows 7 Update, the following devices are no longer recognized:
- TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 MK2
- MASCHINE STUDIO
- KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series MK1 (all models)
The Windows 7 SP1 Update KB4486563 from February 12th, 2019 blocks certain NI hardware devices from being recognized.
Microsoft has fixed the problem with their new update KB4489885. You can now restore the functionality of your NI controller by installing all available Windows 7 Updates. In order to do so, please follow these steps:
- Click on the Windows Start Button and enter the term 'update' in the search field. Click on Windows Update:
- Click Check for updates:
- Install all available updates.
Your NI controller should now be fully functional again.
