We continue to work hard to further improve the overall stability of Maschine+ and to ensure that you can create and perform music without interruption. Nevertheless, listed below are a few specific situations that we have identified where you might experience a crash or freeze while using your Maschine+. We are working on improvements in these areas.
While downloading and installing products
Depending on the complexity of your project, starting multiple downloads from the Library tab can result in momentary freezes while doing other things. Should this occur, leave the unit to install while you are away or manually pause any downloads during playback.
While scanning for new content on your SD card
If you recently saved a lot of new content on your SD card, scanning may take some time - this is indicated by a spinner in the Info Bar. Under certain circumstances, performance may be reduced during this process. Once the scan has finished, your Maschine+ should perform as normal.
Having a lot of instruments and sounds loaded
Maschine+ can run a lot of sounds simultaneously, and we don't want to limit creativity by putting artificial limits on this. Having said that, it's worth having a look to see if you have any sounds or effects inside a Group that you're not using. Deleting these can go a long way in freeing up your CPU and maximizing performance.
Check that your Maschine+ system is up to date
- Go to SETTINGS > SYSTEM (or UPDATE if your system is still using an older version).
- Your Maschine+ will take a moment to fetch updates.
- If there’s an update available you will see the UPDATE option appear. Press it to start the download process.
