Can I add more memory?
The included 64GB SD card can easily be swapped out to increase storage. There is no limit to the capacity in terms of the size in GB. We have tested 1TB SD cards and they have worked without issue.
The important thing is to choose a fast SD card, since MASCHINE+ reads-from and writes-to the SD card, and slower SD cards could impact the performance.
What specifications should the SD card have?
The SD card included in MASCHINE+ has the following specifications:
UHS-I, U3, Native I. Class 10, V30. A1.
This is the recommended specification. Anything faster than that should also function without any issues (but we have not tested everything). The SD card slot is a standard size.
For best results, it is recommended that external storage devices are formatted in exFAT using the onboard MASCHINE+ Format utility. You can find instructions in chapter "Formatting a Storage Device" in the MASCHINE+ manual.
How do I take care of the SD Card?
Always ensure that you eject the SD card properly from any device before removing it.
To safely eject an SD card from MASCHINE+, press the FILE button and choose STORAGE.
Do not remove the SD memory card while saving or loading files as this could result in data loss or corruption of your SD card.
When using Storage mode to transfer files between MASCHINE+ and your computer, always eject the SD card drive from your computer before you disconnect Storage mode.
Failure to do so could result in data loss and corruption of your SD card. For more information on Storage mode, and transferring files between your computer and MASCHINE+, see "Transferring Files to the SD Card" in the MASCHINE+ manual.
