    Hi Masque,

thanks for posting & apologies for the late reply (we've been snowed in with issues lately).

There is no way to undo in Battery 4, except in the wave editor (please check p.82 of the application's manual for that).

Let us know how you get on!

    Cheers,

    Marcel

I made an account solely to ask this question and rant on for a minute: Why is there no overall undo?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has replaced whole cells with some random sample just because I accidentally double clicked something in the browser. It has happened to me so. Many. Times.

Sometimes it's easy and you just go back and put in the old sample. But very often, when you have worked on a kit/track for a while, you don't remember which sample you had in place. And then your carefully crafted sound is just gone? Just because you double clicked? I mean WHAT? Then the only way to go back is to close your project, not save and hope you didn't do anything important since you last saved.

Sorry for the rant, but this seems likes such a basic feature to me, I wonder why it has not been implemented. I suppose my final question is: Is a global Undo function for Battery 4 ever to be implemented?

    Cheers,

I also have this problem, and am curious, will a global undo ever be implemented for Battery 4?

    @Marcel

Battery 4 is such a great software for drums and it seems there is nothing quite like it on the market, but unfortunately the lack of an undo function forced me to switch to a different software, as I have lost many of my kits in the same way @Luka described above. It is by far the most frustrating thing that can happen to you when working on a song.

I would love to be able to use Battery again, thank you for forwarding this request to your dev team, anything you can do to expedite this process would be greatly appreciated, as I am sure there are a lot of people in the same situation who would love to use Battery again.

    Thank you.

In respect to this thread, I accidentally replace a cell with a different sample all the time.  It is super annoying that there isn't a undo button.  However a lock cell button would be great.  If you could lock the cell and not change the sample unless you unlock it should be easy from a programming stand point.

this is one of the most annoying things about battery.... that and that you cant simply make a cell mono.

    thanks for posting.

@ Thomas: as stated previously, the request to add an "undo" function in Battery 4 has been forwarded to our development.

@ Shaune: your request has been forwarded & is filed as BT4-1848

@ Benjamin: you have the possibility to load mono .wav files in Battery (please check p. 136) of the application's manual.

@ Mikael: don't worry, the issue has been escalated to our development.

Let us know how you get on!

    Cheers,

    Hi there NI,

Last post on here was about a year and a half ago.  Are there any updates on where we are at with either an undo feature or a feature that protects us from destroying our work?

Today I loaded a sample and it split itself into multiple cells overwriting half my drum kit.  In an age where a lot of creative software now autosaves all the time, this is less than professional.  I own and use a fair bit of your gear and expect better than this.  If I end up migrating software I won't be coming back to NI period for anything as it takes time to learn new software and I have spent a considerable amount learning battery 4.

What are you going to do?  And how long will it take please?

    Your Frustrated Customer
