How to fix a Runtime Error Message (Windows) [en-us]
AnsweredHi,
if your NI application does not install, load or crashes and you receive a Windows Runtime Error message (e.g Runtime Error 6034, msvcp140.dll missing, api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll) on Windows, please try each of the following until your issue has been resolved:
1. Run the system file integrity checker as explained here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system
2. Make sure to have installed the latest Windows updates as explained here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/311047/how-to-keep-your-windows-computer-up-to-date
3. If the crash is caused by an outdated, corrupted or missing Visual C++ Redistributable Package, follow the instructions on the link below:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_runtime_installer.html
If the issue is not resolved after doing these steps, please contact our Support Team:
