    Hi Tobias,

    thanks for posting.

Does the issue occur in standalone mode too?

Are you connecting any external MIDI equipment? If yes, please disconnect it, then test if the behaviour described occurs without it or not.

Last but not least, please make sure you are running on the latest version of Mojave (currently 10.14.2).

    Hi Marcel,

    I updated to iOS 10.14.3

So this does not seem to happen in standalone mode and it also does not seem to happen in some new projects (with midi and audio tracks) I created to test, no external midi controllers involved. At least for now…

But it still happens in older projects, where I may have used external midi controllers in the past, but disconnected everything now for testing.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi Tobias,

    that's very strange.

What is the difference between your new & old projects plug-in wise? Are you using AUs or VSTs?

What happens if you remove plug-ins in your old sessions for testing purposes? Maybe check the one or other plug-in, that may be causing the issue.

Furthermore, it might be worth resetting your Live to its factory default as explaind in:

    How to reset Live.

So I reset Live as described and I reinstalled Guitar Rig. I use AUs and VSTs, I deactivated both, one at a time…

And it still keeps happening, with new projects, too. It drives me crazy.

    Hello Tobias,

Please check whether the setting under Options> Preferences> MIDI Channel of GUITAR RIG 5.2.2 Pro plug-in is set to Omni or not.

Should the MIDI Channel setting be set to Omni, then GUITAR RIG 5.2.2 Pro will receive MIDI data from all MIDI channels. Please change to another channel (e.g. 16) & check whether the problem is solved or not.

    Hi Marcel,

I changed it from Omni to 16 (only one track in the project with one instance of Guitar Rig) and the settings still change randomly.

Apologies for keeping you waiting Tobias.

Could you please test if the issue occurs using Live 10?

Interestingly the changes follow the same pattern: always change at the same time to the same effect.

    Hi Tobias,

Do you have any other DAW (digital audio workstation) you could test the phenomena with?

If not, then please try REAPER, which is free (for a period of 60 days) here.

Ok, so I did some testing with Reaper… so far the effects don't change there.

    Hi Tobias,

In that case, you may want to uninstall Live:

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

    Hello Volker,

in the video, I could see that you had a MIDI channel from your network port open.
Can you please turn this port off and then try it again?
Reason being that this network port sends unwanted program changes.

    Let me know the outcome.
    Cheers,

    Philipp

I'm having the same issue in Ableton and uninstalling Ableton is not an option. I notice it changes when he hits a D note. Same here. When I transpose away from D/D# it doesn't happen. WTF?

    Hi Philipp,

I switched off the midi port, and it still kept happening.

I fully re-installed both Live and Guitar Rig now (as described on the corresponding website). A number of random things keep happening with the effects. For example: as you can see in the two videos the names of the effects are not in sync, in the instance preview and when Guitar Rig is opened:

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ph1fzf99ilw3uvq/AADZYLnqAFaB39rAUDENYuiCa?dl=0

Also every time I open a Guitar Rig instance I have to re-order the effects as the order keeps changing.

    How can that be?
