    Same problem. It's a security feature in Mojave that blocks third party applications from talking to one another (which is obviously a huge problem in the audio world). Anyway, most applications allow you to go in and allow it, however, NI hasn't completed this yet.... I don't believe that you can add applications yourself, the application (IE Maschine and Komplete Kontrol) need to be programmed to allow it in order to fix it.

     

    I really wish that Apple would come out with a pro version of their OS, that got rid of all these security "features"

    Thanks fr the response. After more troubleshooting we pretty much came to a similar conclusion regarding the security in Mojave. As mentioned, I don't really remember this under High Sierra. Apple's security in their latest systems have definitely become a pain, especially if your using your own personal computer that no one else has access to. The fact that issues like this haven't been corrected as of yet since Mojave was released tells me they may never be corrected. It seems like the new Catalina OS is not going to make things any easier. Since I can;t even get in touch with Native tech support any longer because they have no phone number to call, I decided to simply return the S-series keyboard and look at other options. Since I never use Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol anyway, it's easier to just not bother with the app then to wait around and see if these issues ever get fixed.

    Hello kmm08 and Brian,

    This issue seems to be related to the latest update of VSL's Synchron Player software, which was released after the latest Komplete Kontrol update. Prior to installing the latest Synchron Player update, all of the other software that I have that relies on the e-licenser and the Synsopos.app, work without issue. After removing the Synchron Player and reinstalling the lastest e-licenser, the message stopped appearing.

    I've reported this to the development team for further investigation.

    The issue is that I’ve never even heard of that software. So I would assume that I don’t have it installed.

    I just looked it up to see if it was something that was installed within something that I had and it appears to be it’s own thing which I do not own

    @Chris, based on my screen shot... it appears that the user has to allow Synsopos to run the applications.... IE in my screenshot, Ableton Live has a checkbox to allow, where NI stuff does not. With that being said, and the fact that I do not own VSL's Synchron Player Software and do not have it installed, is this something that NI has to allow? Just food for thought, I could be dead wrong on this..

    Hi Brian,

    I've asked the Komplete Kontrol development team about this, I'm now waiting for a reply from them. But, Komplete Kontrol and Maschine 2 have the checkbox on my system.

    Hello Daniel,

    No solution as of yet. The development team is currently investigating this for both Komplete Kontrol and Maschine 2 as it affects both. As soon as I receive more information I'll post an update here.

    Same Problem/Error Message from eLicenser with Vienna Synchron Player here, when I open Maschine2 :-( I also don't have any entry with Maschine or Komplete Kontrol and Synsopos in my Security & Privacy settings.

    I have had the same message. Also all my NI Komplete software opens but is greyed out and unresponsive. I have Komplete Ultimate Collectors and not one product now works. I have updated the E Licensor's and the Synchron player and nothing has changed. All that happens now is the Synchron player seems to want to open along side logic. 

    We need a solution to this and fast.

    +1 for me as well. All I can do is to temporarily move the Vienna VST files out of their folder and then just use these instruments as AU plugins in Logic. Doing that at least allows Komplete Kontrol to launch OK.

    This issue has also been raised over at the VSL forum and their response is ... "That one is up to NI, we believe that they have to add the Apple Security Entitlements for their software, and we have informed our colleagues accordingly."

    Could someone here please confirm they agree with that assessment and are working on an update to both Kompete Kontrol and Maschine 2 to fix the problem.

    SOLUTION for Maschine.

    • Download MASCHINE 2.8.4
    • Install the older version
    • Scan you Plugin Folder
    • Accept & access to Synsopos.app in (......Privacy / Automation ....)
    • Check you Plugin ( Nexus 2)
    • If everything works fine you can update to the the last release of Maschine

    But my Komplete Control has the same issue a before. 

    This workaround helps actually only for you Maschine 

    Anybody knows where I can  get an older version of Komplete  to try out the same steps ?

    Hi Stephan and Chris,

    Same problem here, with a completely fresh install of the OS (Catalina) plus NI and VSL software. Installing Komplete Kontrol 2.1.4 worked for me, it asked for permission to control Synsopos, though I was still getting the error message. I clicked OK a couple of times and then I just ignored the next error and the scanning continued, and eventually the error message disappeared. As a user of many NI libraries, the scan took a while, but Kontrol finally opened.

    I used Native Access to update to Kontrol 2.1.6 and it works almost fine. I still have to click OK in the error message 5 or 6 times while it scans, but the errors stop appearing after that.

    Not the same story with Maschine, though. I have 2.8.7 (R763). I get the error a few times for different apps, I click OK two times for each and the scan continues. However, eventually I get to the error for 'Vienna Symphonic Library', which is not an identifier I recognize (I mean, it's not a player or Vienna Ensemble).

    In this case, I can keep clicking for a while, but it seems to be stuck in a loop, so I never get to Maschine and I have to kill it and also the scanner.

    Please note that in the Privacy & Security settings I now have Komplete Kontrol with permission to control Synsopos, but not Maschine 2. I don't know if a similar solution of using an older version would work. I don't think I have an old installer, so if NI can provide one, I am willing to give it a try.

    Hello Everyone,

    Have you already tried installing the latest eLincense Control Center update? Version 6.11.9.2259. I installed this a few moments ago and am no longer getting the error message. The Scan did crash when I opened Komplete Kontrol and Maschine 2. As soon as the Komplete Kontrol and Maschine applications opened, I simply did a rescan in each of their preferences.

    Chris, nope:-( Even after a plugin rescan in both NI apps I get the same "synsopos" errors. Komplete Kontrol and Machine 2 never show up under the Privacy list of apps in System Preferences/Security and therefor no entry for Synsopos.app, which normally would be defined in this list, means no access from both apps to the eLicenser:-((

    Maybe a complete re-install of both apps could bring back the first-time-install question from macOS (10.14.6 in my case) to allow access.

    Hi Chris,

    That's the version I have for eLicenser Control Center (2.11.9.2259). It wasn't upgraded from a previous version, all of this comes from a clean install (on a formatted drive) of macOS 10.15.1 and the current stable version of everything, including Maschine 2.8.7, Komplete Kontrol 2.1.6, Vienna Synchron Pianos 1.0.1386 and Vienna Synchron Player 1.0.1735.

    I still get the scan crashes both with Komplete Kontrol and Maschine, but Komplete Kontrol ends up loading in the end, while Maschine keeps popping up the same error related to 'Vienna Symphonic Library'.

    Hello everybody,

    Catalina. VSL (Synchron Player, Synchron Piano, ...) everything updated.

    Having no issues running Cubase 10 and VSL. (but Dorico 3 not working with Catalina)

    Today i bought the Maschine and I am having the same issues described above when launching Maschine 2  (v 2.8.7).

    It is frustrating I can't use it.

    The eLicenser is 6.11.9.3259.

    In "Security & Privacy", "Automation", I can see all the Vienna software can access Synsopos.app. Maschine, or any other NI software, not listed.

    Same issue for me. The problem is if you did a clean install and started with Maschine 2.9, Maschine isn't properly asking for permission to access Synsopos.app so it is not even showing up in Automation.  I don't know what you guys are doing over at NI.

    so are we getting a fix for this native or do I need to go to another provider I haven't been able to use nexus in Maschine cause I get same error FIX NOW ill wait for a fix before I go get new mk

    I got this problem last month when I installed VSL Synchron Player. It manifested when starting Komplete Kontrol. And, in fact, just now again, it appeared a few times when I started Komplete Kontrol.

    The only solution that has worked for me is to let this run its course. Takes ages when you have lots of plugins, but I was done once got through them all.

    Let me explain. Every time this dialog box appeared for me, another plugin had been scanned. I simply clicked OK each time, instead of killing the process. Once I got through all my plugins, the message stopped appearing and startup occurred without interruption. Yesterday I installed a few more plugins, or updated some, which is why I got the dialog box again a few more times just now. Some plugins take a long time to scan, others are fast.

    So, be patient and click OK on this dialog box every time, and your problem might eventually go away.

    Well, it will not go away as long as you continue (and you either want new functionality or are being "forced") to install plugin upgrades. Then it will come back. It needs to be FIXED! Other vendors can do it, why not NI?

    The problem is here reported since September 2019. Mojave with the new security "features" is out since October 2018. NI is not capable to provide a fix to their very own products since. This is ridiculous.

    I'm using Komplete Kontrol 2.2.1 and eLicenser 6.11.10.2263.

    When can we expect to see a real fix for this problem?

    This error box always appears, without installing updates, every time I startup Komplete Kontrol (2. 2.1).

    eLicenser latest version.

    NI bug support basically sucks. I have noted a bug with the S88, but nobody cares to answer.

    This will be the last NI product I buy...

    They're only in it for the money...
