I've discovered why Massive X acts so strange when you try to save a preset in Cakewalk. Massive X, does not take control of the keyboards functions, so when you type letters in the save box it causes the 'DAW keys' to function. Example - when you press the spacebar, instead of creating a space in the name it causes the DAW to start to play, press again and playback stops, similar, the letter 'R', starts DAW transport in 'Record Mode'. Keys that are not assigned to the DAW DON'T function. Others cause erratic behaviour, such as the number 2 key, which resets the screen. By turning off the keyboard control in Cakewalks preferences the number keys function, Massive X tries to 'save as' but the spacebar still starts/stops the DAW transport, and letters don't respond. As least you can add a hyphen to the factory preset and give it a number and it does save to the user presets and the name changes in the display. However, with the loss of the DAW functions from the keyboard.
NI - why doesn't Massive X take control of the keyboard functions when you use SAVE as? I was hoping that you would have fixed this by now with the new updates via Native Access. You need to get this fixed.
I have purchased 3 other new synths , Waves - Flow Motion, iZotope - Iris 2, & Soundspot's - Union. All of these are less expensive than Massive X and have no problems in something so basic as saving a new preset.
As for your comments you sent in your email, they did not fix this issue.
