Purchased a KA2 to use it as a stream out of my Pioneer DJ setup to my Win10 computer. Stream goes fine, excellent sound over I-net and synched with a external webcam (microphone turned off). Since my mixer (DJM-450) have no boot out I was confident the sound Out 1 & 2 would support me in getting my local DJing sound...but...it doesn't work. Browsing the web around it seems it's not intended to work... Why? Or what am I or anyone else with the same problem do wrong?
My setup is:
Pioneer DJM-450, XLR > Tele in to KA2
From KA2: USB to computer
Out1 & 2: Balanced Tele > XLR
Speakers: Tried both Pioneer DJ monitors AND Electro Voice speakers, both active
The only way I can get sound is to connect the speaker to the headphone out...but that doesn't work well. Nor the second way via RCA on the DJM...then I need to regulate volume on the speaker...since master shouldn't be interrupted when streaming.
The good looking so obvious Volume knob doesn't do anything for me... So, is the design you shouldn't be able to listen to the sound Out 1 & 2, or is there a solution/setup to support my scenario? Otherwise it seems KA2 does not do the good things I supposed it would.
