If you have connected one of the above devices and open the NI USB Audio control panel in the Mac OS X System Preferences, you might receive the below message:
This message does not indicate a problem, it just shows that the control panel is not relevant for your interface. The control panel was installed along with the driver of an older Native Instruments device (e.g. AUDIO 8 DJ, AUDIO KONTROL 1).
Newer devices (such as the ones listed above) are OS X class-compliant, meaning that no driver is required. You can configure your audio interface settings directly in the Audio Settings of your Native Instruments application or in the OS X Audio MIDI Setup which can be found under the following path:
- Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Audio-MIDI Setup
