This article explains the installation of the outdated STUDIO DRUMS library for BATTERY. The download BATTERY 3 Update for Studio Drums users only can only be installed if you are an owner of STUDIO DRUMS and the library is already installed on your computer.
- Insert the STUDIO DRUMS DVD and drag-and-drop its content to your hard disk (BATTERY Library folder recommended). After the copy process, start BATTERY standalone and load a Kit - e.g. "TOMS 01 LARGE.kit". If you use BATTERY 1 or BATTERY 2, the samples will be loaded automatically.
- If you use BATTERY 3 and load one of the KITS, you will get a "missing samples" dialogue.
- To relocate the samples, use the Browse Folder option, navigate to the "Studio Drums" folder and press Choose.
- When the samples are loaded, manually resave the Kit via the menu File > Save Kit.
The next time you load the Kit with BATTERY 3, the samples will be loaded directly.
Note: The "missing samples" issue occurs because the STUDIO DRUMS library has originally been made for BATTERY 1. Since BATTERY 1 and BATTERY 2 are based on the same software engine, and the STUDIO DRUMS Kits are all saved in BATTERY 1 format (.kit), the samples are loaded automatically. If the Kits are loaded in BATTERY 3, the samples need to be relocate and the Kits need to be resaved in BATTERY 3 format (.kt3).
