Symptom
After you updated or reinstalled Vinyl with Native Access, the VST2 plug-in has been removed from your Windows system.
Cause
Native Access installs Vinyl in the default location C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins regardless of selected custom locations in the preferences. It also removes a previous VST2 installation from any custom VST2 location originally selected.
Solution
Please reinstall Vinyl manually:
- Close Native Access and all audio applications.
- Download the Vinyl installer and unzip it.
- Run the installer.
- When prompted, select Custom Install:
- On the Install Options screen, select your custom install location for VST2 plug-ins
After installation, you can use both the VST2 and VST3 versions of Vinyl again.
