Please follow these steps to install Cubase LE - you will need the Download Access Code you have received via email.
1. Download and Install the Steinberg Download Assistant:
Go to https://www.steinberg.net/go/ and download the Steinberg Download Assistant (Windows or macOS). Follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
2. Launch the Steinberg Download Assistant and Create an Account (if needed):
Open the Steinberg Download Assistant after installation. If you don't have an account yet, please create one. Follow the prompts to sign up.
3. Enter the Download Access Code:
Once logged in, click on the "+" symbol at the top left corner of the Steinberg Download Assistant. Enter the Download Access Code provided to you via email. This will register Cubase LE to your account.
4. Select Cubase LE 13:
On the left side of the Download Assistant, select the Cubase section. Then, choose Cubase LE 13 from the options available in the folder.
5. Choose Downloads:
On the right side of the Download Assistant, you'll see all available downloads for Cubase LE 13. You can choose to download all components at once or select specific content and applications you need.
6. Select Download Location (optional):
By default, the downloads will go to your computer's default download folder. If you want to save them elsewhere, click on the target folder above the download list and choose a different location.
7. Understanding Download Types:
Pay attention to the download types:
- Required: Essential downloads needed to start Cubase LE.
- Recommended: Instrument plug-ins and content sets required for demo projects and presets.
- Optional: Sample packs that can enhance your experience but are not necessary for running Cubase.
8. Install Cubase LE 13:
Once the downloads are complete, Cubase LE will install automatically in the background.
9. Start Cubase LE 13:
After the installation, you can start Cubase LE. Remember that you'll need an internet connection for the first launch to validate the activation. After the initial activation, Cubase LE can also be launched offline.
