To load multiple samples into one cell within BATTERY 3 follow the steps below.
- Open BATTERY and go to File > Options from the toolbar.
- Make sure that the option Load Multiple Samples into one Cell (Map Multiple Samples in One Cell on Load on newer versions) is enabled (the button must be switched to On).
Option Set to ON
When Load Multiple Samples into one Cell is enabled (set to On), you can assign multiple samples to one Cell via drag and drop. After importing you will find them listed next to each other in the Mapping tab.
You can also create Cells with multiple samples. This is useful if you want a Cell to trigger different samples with different velocity values.
Option Set to OFF
When this function is disabled (set to Off) the selected samples will be distributed over the Cells - one sample in each Cell starting from where you dragged and dropped the samples.
With the option turned OFF, it is easy to create a whole drum kit. As an example, if you load a bass drum, a snare drum and a hi hat and load them into individual Cells, you will be able to trigger them individually.
