If you are using Timecode control, the only type of connection between your CD player and TRAKTOR is an audio signal. TRAKTOR recognizes this audio signal to follow the position and speed of the control medium. If you want to control the Hotcues in TRAKTOR, you can do this in the CUE Advanced Panel or assign buttons of a MIDI controller to the respective functions in TRAKTOR's Controller Manager. The TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 will offer you full control over TRAKTOR's Hotcue functions, all mapped and configured automatically.
Note: You can control the Hotcues in TRAKTOR with your CD player if it has a USB MIDI or HID mode. In these modes, control data from the buttons and knobs of your device is sent to TRAKTOR over a standard USB connection. Devices carrying the TRAKTOR READY certification can be conveniently configured with the Setup Wizard in Traktor.
