    Hello Joel,
    thank you for your post.
Due to the high amount of incoming requests we were not able to respond to e-Mail earlier.

Please note that Native Access requires internet access. Technically seen it is not possible to transfer installation files, activate your products or transfer updates from an online computer to an offline computer. You need to get the system online in order to do such.

If you have earlier products (released before September 1, 2016) such as Komplete 10 Ultimate, Komplete Kontrol and Maschine you will be still able to use Service Center.

I hope this is of any help.
    Cheers,
    Philipp

Not having an offline solution available for customers that need it is both bone-headed and pig-headed.

I've had to though as there is no work around.

Just a warning for everyone. Only install 1 item at a time as each install returns the the default directories on your system drive. So if you put your content onto different drives and different folders ( and who doesn't) its a nightmare.

And it wont let you stop the multiple installs without using task manager.

Native Instrument People This is seriously a backward step.

I could cop getting online with service centre to register products but this is a joke.

Periodically when things go wrong and you have to rebuild a sample drive.   well i just dont wont to imagine that!!!

I think you have just inhibited the purchase of any further NI products.

Lucky I have Ultimate 10 but thats as far as I go

Seriously? I can't get my offline computer installed and activated? This sucks. I was just looking in this forum for a solution. Looks like I found none.

I would like to add here. There is a reason my Offline Computer is called Offline Computer. Because it remains OFFLINE. I don't want some hacker stealing my intellectual property.

I am another user who uses offline. I connect my phone to log into service center to auth....but all my downloads were done offline.

I don't have internet available in the studio.....true story.

And using my cell phone data plan to download kontakt and the host of other software is beyond comprehension.

My german friend would say Un Glaublich>>>>>>

I entered this forum because I got the news that there is an update for my Kontakt 5. Like many other musicians I have my studio PC offline and so it seems to be impossible to get this and the following  updates on my PC without putting it online. It is nearly unbelievable and very disappointing for me that there is a company dealing with professional music software that makes a cut with many of their customers. For me it means: definitely no more new products from NI as long as there is no solution for an offline registration. I don´t need the 20 seconds online registration. I can accept if registrations last some minutes because of challenge response operations but I cannot accept forcing customers to go online with their music PC.

If anyone else sees this-it looks like NI brought back the ability in our account to directly download our products again.  THANK YOU NI!  I was really not looking forward to having to bring my Mac Pro, monitor, keyboard, and mouse all the way from the studio to update!

This indeed sucks. Many years used their free tools and some purchased instruments. Finally decided to take the dive into it more and purchased more stuff including the kontakt full version. Now I wanted to download some instruments and noticed this crazy thing. It is pretty normal that (semi)pro studio computers do not have access to the net for all sort of reasons. Now this has become a hobbyist thing. I will not upgrade/purchase any further until NI allows users to install on offline computers as well, for this is really terrible. I had to connect my unprotected system to the internet just to get my latest download and no, making it secure (virusscanners etc.) is NOT an option for my studio computers, period! Get this fixed NI!

How the heck do you change a download system for the worst? Aren't features supposed to improve with time? The old system before Native Access allowed customers to download online and then install offline. How then do you change that system and create impossibility, difficulty and inconvenience to your paying customers by making it only possible to download with an Internet connection? This is insane! The whole reason I have no internet connection on my studio computer is to prevent viruses from getting on my computer and damaging my 'hard work' files (which has happened to me before)! You people are going to lose a lot of businesses by treating your customers this way, this customer didn't even get a sorry for his inconvenience, just a matter of fact response! I'm glad to see how much you people can care less about your customers!

I would assume a great deal of effort went into creating the update. And many paying customers need it for newer instruments.

But the development time and effort is somewhat wasted, as a significant percentage of users (those with offline PCs) cannot make use of it.

    A lose-lose situation.

They won't be losing any customers. They are the ONLY game in town...unless GigaStudio comes back! They are in essence a "monopoly". 99% of the libraries that we depend on run through Kontakt!

Cheers Mates! Sucks to be us! I too have six slave PCs in my studio. NONE of which are online!

Yes, this is a textbook case of how monopolistic corporate power flexes its muscle. Some of us are simply too committed to the Kontakt platform (whether as library developers or end users) to do anything except accept whatever conditions NI chooses to implement.

They will lose sales & customers, but not enough to make a difference to their bottom line. I'm 100% certain they've calculated all of that and concluded that it will be profitable to move forward in the loathsome direction they have chosen, and that the relatively small number of us who are upset about it simply don't matter.

How can this even be real life? Native Instruments I am INFURIATED but the hell I've gone through with installations since getting Komplete Ultimate 11.. ripping my hair out!

And my computers are ONLINE!!! I store my sounds on an external drive to move between my computers.. and ARE YOU TELLING ME THERE'S NO WAY TO MAKE IT WORK ON MY LAPTOP?? I can't get my external drive to recognize what is and isn't installed. It thinks stuff is installed on here that isn't (meaning I can't download it) and stuff that is installed I need to manually add to Kontakt 1 by 1(painful)

How can a company be so incredibly cruel to the people who support it :(

Totally agree with all of you, unfortunately for me - this is the end of my NI custom.

I've been buying their stuff for over 10 years. Sad because their products are great, but without supporting offline computers - they won't be making any money from me.

     So long NI!

I know that some 3rd party Kontakt library developers, for now at least, are trying to buck the New Order by continuing to offer full-Kontakt packages that are compatible with v5.6.6 or eariler. I've contacted to a couple and managed to purchase "alternative" libraries that do not require Native Access to activate.

But there is no long-term solution, as eventually there will be a Kontakt 6, 7 and the era in which offline activation was supported will recede into the remote past, UNLESS enough people and especially developers for Player libraries resist the change and DEMAND that NI restore offline activation or else lose business.

I have taken NA off of my workstation, have no plans to reinstall it in its current format, and have been writing developers from whom I've purchased libraries that online NA activation = NO SALE.

I keep wishing, hoping that something will happen to induce NI to change course and re-introduce the ability to activate offline, or else, yes, it's "So long NI" from here too.

What they've done to betray their loyal customers is really terribly disheartening and sad...

    i've been a maschine-afficionado for years now.

i start regretting buying maschine mk3 and supporting native instruments. downloading offline-installers and acitivating them on my offline mac is a must for me.

I just have had this "amazing" surprise!

I cannot move my off line computer AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

    ---

    EDIT

I confess I wrote a kind of "overstatement" comment moved by emotion at time. LOL. In fact, nothing has changed. I was able to install my new libraries over NATIVE ACCESS in my on-line laptop at home, and then, in a very simple process, move it to my off-line Studio PC and (using a very basic slow internet) register it via NATIVE ACCESS.

Thanks for Native Instruments support and all tips and advices by kind folks in the forums! :)

    All my best!

Same here, I have an offline computer for allmost all my work, my laptop is really of allmost no use musicaly, but it is the only one I can install komplete on, crazy... And also, having a bad internet connexion is a big problem (considering I end up moving my other computer to a place with internet, I'll have to, what, DOWNLOAD Gbs AGAIN??????? You know, it takes days, not hours, daaaayyyys, to download in ANY place far from a big city, and that is if everything goes right!!!).

So I guess I'll fight through those BS that one time, get it done, and never buy anything from NI again.

What in the world would be the advantage they get from that move?

What is next? Needing an instagram account to activate any NI product? yeeeaaaah, makes total sense.

Tana Barbier, how are you doing?

I confess I wrote a kind of "overstatement" comment moved by emotion at time. In fact, nothing has changed. So, don't worry, we are still able to keep all our libraries in a safe external HD and no need to download it again! :) Best regards!

    Hi Michel,

I'm happy for you that it worked on your side, I am not seing how to do that on my end though. I tried copying the iso file while native access was installing it (so that it was before it had deleted the file, at the end of the process), put it on a hard drive, passed it on the other computer, installed native acces there and tried to see how have it install the iso in question, it did not work.

I guess your solution is installing it onto an external HD and moving this from computer to computer?

What I'd like is the possibility to download on one and install on the other.

Right now I have my computer at my house, hooked to an ethernet cable, downloading like crazy (when it goes up to about 60kb/s I am happy, so it is long). I would really love to be able to do the downloading on my laptop while working with the other one, then taking it online just for authorization. Like it was in the good old days you know... . .  .

What was broken about the service center? Because if it's not broken, don't fix it, they say.

Anyway thank you for you input and have fun with those libraries!

    01) I just installed KONTAKT and NATIVE ACCESS in my on-line laptop.

    02) Then, via NATIVE ACCESS, installed KONTAKT FACTORY LIBRARY

    03) Copied the Library folder into my external HD

    04) Copied it to my Studio PC (KONTAKT and NATIVE ACCESS already installed in it)

    05) Opened KONTAKT and "add Library"

    06) Opened NATIVE ACCESS and it automatic recognized and authorized the library. (P.S: Of course I have a simple/slow internet in my studio, enough to register the products

    07) Deleted the Library in my laptop, as I keep a safe backup in my external HD. So, no need to future downloads.

    ------

I hope I am not missing something. :) The process seems to be as simple as used to be with SERVICE CENTER

Perhaps in light of the current Spectre/Meltdown fiasco, in which all modern CPUs are revealed to be inherently unsafe when connected to the internet, the decision makers at NI might reassess their disregard for those of us who don't want to put our primary DAW machines online?

I bought Komplete 11 ultimate a YEAR ago & haven't installed it because I do not, ever, ever & will not ever, ever put my DAW PC's online. Is there another way besides using cracked copies atop legitimate ones???? I don't want to do that! No one should be shoved into a corner to break the law to keep their GD machines safe! (I know, I left myself wide open with that one 😉). Do people put their Kronos's, OASYS, etc, ad nauseam online? Nope! Even though you technically can. To me this is narcissistic control freak behavior & this is NOT the same NI I bought into starting with Reaktor 5 (when it was new) & later Komplete 4 & KORE 2. I can not use the very expensive products I have bought, nor can I get my money back. I love NI plugins but Extremely dislike NI. I want to USE Komplete 11 Ultimate !! I paid a fortune.....
