What’s New in Maschine+ 2.3.0
Maschine+ 2.3.0 brings the powerful sequencing enhancements from Maschine 3.7 directly to standalone mode. Create more dynamic, evolving patterns with per-note probability, the new Variation page, and Euclidean and Random note generation, all fully accessible from the MASCHINE+ hardware.
Fixed
- This update also includes and updated version of the Hardware Connection Service 2.1.6, which improves stability when using a Kontrol S-Series MK3 with Maschine+.
New Features
Per-Note Probability: Add controlled unpredictability to your patterns by assigning a probability value between 0% and 100% to individual notes.
- Each note can independently decide whether it plays on every cycle.
- Create evolving rhythms, subtle variations, and generative sequences.
- Enable Probability Lock to freeze playback and keep the current variation exactly as heard.
Variation Page: Quickly add musical movement and human feel to your patterns.
Located in the Groove section, the new Variation page allows you to apply variation to:
- Velocity
- Timing
- Note Length
Apply changes to selected notes or the entire pattern when no notes are selected, all with a single button press.
Euclidean & Random Note Generation: Generate inspiring rhythmic ideas directly on your Sound.
Euclidean Mode distributes hits evenly across a cycle using controls for:
- Steps
- Fills
- Rotate
- Division
Random Mode creates fresh patterns instantly, making it easy to explore new grooves and spark creativity.
Hardware Integration
The new sequencing tools are fully integrated into the MASCHINE+ workflow:
- Probability is available on Page 2 within both STEP and EVENTS modes (use the Left/Right arrow buttons to switch pages).
- In STEP mode:
- Button 7 (PROBABILITY) displays and edits note probability values.
- Button 8 (PROB LOCK) enables or disables Probability Lock.
- The VARIATION button now opens the new Variation page in the Groove section, while the right display shows the active Pattern.
